They say when you close one door that another one opens.

In the case of Il Pasticcio that’s true. Last week we closed the doors of Il Pasticcio and the very next day we began anew with Broughton & Bull Restaurant in the old Il Pasticcio building.

At Broughton & Bull Restaurant we feature a new southern cuisine and wine bar featuring the freshest local Savannah food and recipes. We marry our modern interpretations of southern favorites with a French flair and at prices that are a tremendous value for fine food.

My parting letter that I posted on the Il Pasticcio website was intended as a happy and playful metaphor to what was a wistful ending for Il Pasticcio. Understandably my vacation metaphor was interpreted by some as my real departure from Savannah and Savannah Dining. In the real world at the intersection of Broughton & Bull Streets, mere hours separated the closing of Il Pasticcio and the opening of Broughton & Bull Restaurant.
